Yamo, Guiding Ray
Nice slice of Krautrock from Wolfgang Flur, ex-drummer of Kraftwerk.
This was made in the mid-90’s, but has nice retro Krautrock vibe – and extremely Kraftwerk-esque harmonies on the ends of some lines.
The rest of Flur’s album Time Pie I can’t say I really go for. I think he worked with various mid-90’s electronic artists, but in a genre which sounds relly very dated now.
I shouldn’t use the phrase Krautrock either, Flur rails against the term in his biography, but I’m afraid that’s what the work of Neu!, Faust, Can, early Kraftwerk, etc, has been known for the last 30 years. I think it’s a great phrase, and those groups wrote some great music.
