Yep, it’s the first of the month, so it’s time for a brand new Cassette Electrik track to download.
This month is a remix of a new tune called Leaving, the original of which is a nice pumping slice of electropop and which can be heard on our myspace page as of right now.
This remix strips the track right back (as per last months 28 Days remix), and sets the powerful lyrics to a quite different, yet equally effective backdrop (we think so, anyway!) We’ve been rehearsing this version, and it’s sounding pretty cool for the live set.
The other thing about this remix is that we set ourselves the challenge of producing it in one day. Which we did, yey us! Obviously it’s a bit easier to do that with a remix as the track is done and you don’t have to worry about writing the thing from scratch. Still, apart from a little bit of tidying up after the event, we think it ain’t bad for a day’s work!
